NexLine Plus eases analog-to-digital conversion of electronic
access control systems by replacing Multiple Switch Monitors
(MSMs) and providing a junction through which both data and
power can be reliably transmitted over existing coaxial cable.
NexLine Plus provides the same functionality as the MSM it
replaces by monitoring point signals between four monitor
inputs and a Honeywell STAR® Series Controller. It supports the
already installed monitor point wires and allows existing coaxial
cable to transmit data from S-Net devices.
With NexLine Plus, conversion can be a simple three step
process. First, replace MSM with NexLine Plus; the common
footprint allows NexLine Plus to fit in exactly the same location
as the MSM. Second, connect the new S-Net reader to
NexLine Plus with standard RS-485 wiring. Third, convert the
other end of the coaxial run to RS-485 with an inexpensive
NexLine coax adapter to which a Honeywell STAR Series
Controller can be connected.
